This figure is an adaptation of Pallas Athene Fountain located in front of the parliament in Astoria. It is represented with the owl in her right hand, which is the symbol of her wisdom and a spear in her left hand, symbol of her skill as a military strategist. The base has a plaque with the inscription of Athena.

Sculpture. Torso of Belvedere. 71x82x150cm   Of the male nude by the Athenian sculptor Apollonius, only one fragment remained intact, a piece dating from the 1st century BC, but it is thought to be a copy of an original probably dating from the 2nd century BC. The statue was discovered in its present state in the Campo de 'Fiori (Field of Flowers) under Pope Julius II (1503-1513). This statue probably depicted a man mounted on an animal, the pose of the torso with its extraordinarily well-represented musculature had a great influence on later artists such as Michelangelo and Raphael Sanzio of the Renaissance, and other artists of Mannerism and the Baroque.

The Esquiline Venus is a marble sculpture of a naked woman with sandals and headdress, she was performed in a smaller scale than reality, but she also gives a great impression when viewed on a fleeting glance. The original was found in 1874 on the Esquiline Hill in the Lamianos Gardens (hence its name). Now she is located in the collection of the Capitoline Museums.
