The famous Rosetta Stone. 30x23cm   The famous Rosetta Stone, which was a key element to deciphering the Egyptian hieroglyphics, was casually found in north Egypt by a French military detachment. The Rosetta Stone is a fragment of an ancient Egyptian granodiorite stele inscribed with a decree issued at Memphis in 196 BC on behalf of the Pharaoh Ptolemy V. The decree appears in three different scripts: the upper text in Egyptian hieroglyphs, the middle part in demotic text and in the lower in ancient Greek. Thanks to that he presents essentially the same content in the three inscriptions, with minor differences between them, this stone provided the key to the modern understanding of Egyptian hieroglyphs. In Ancient Egypt, the sarcophagus of the kingship harbored at least one coffin, generally made in wood, where rested the mummy of the deceased, which was previously subjected to a process of embalming, the same process use substances, such as resins and / or balms with the aim of preserve the integrity of corpses of the putrefaction. Tutankhamun was an Egyptian pharaoh of the XVIIIth Dynasty. His reign was characterized by a return to the normality in the sector of society and religion. After his early death, he was buried in the Valley of the Kings, and his tomb, discovered in 1922, is the only tomb of a Pharaoh which was found today without being plundered by looters.
