The cardinal virtues in Antiquity: For the Greeks it was important the cultivation of three specific virtues: Andreia (bravery), Sofrosine (wisdom, moderation) and Dicaiosine (justice); these virtues formed a relevant, useful and perfect citizen. In The Republic, Plato added a fourth, Prudence, and thus described the four cardinal virtues.
