Neoclassicism, the proclamation of classicism

While classicism, a literary and artistic movement, flourished between the VII and II centuries before Christ in Greece and part of the Mediterranean, especially in areas inhabited by the Greeks; the neoclassicism covers the period from 1760 to 1830 to proclaim the return to the forms of the antiquity because they are the most rational and because they are the true universal and permanent style, which serve forever and which is not influenced by fashions. This is a reproduction of Artemision Bronze, a Greek bronze statue, which belongs to the severe style and is located in the National Archaeological Museum, Athens. It is not known if it represents to the god Zeus throwing a lightning or Poseidon throwing his trident. The statue has been dated to 460 before Christ, to the severe style, period of transition between the archaism and classicism.
