At the late age of poetry and the Hellenistic and Roman art, belongs the tender story of "Psyche" -the personification of a soul full of love or, in other times, a butterfly which bore the same name. Psyche, according to the story, was the beautiful daughter of a king. The fame of her beauty aroused the jealousy of Aphrodite, who, to get rid of his rival, commissioned her son Cupid to make her a visit, and to inspire her the love to a common man. The origin of the gargoyles dates back to the Middle Ages and is related with the rise of the bestiaries and the torments of hell. It is also true that the imagination of medieval artists was paid by even older myths. In fact, the first gargoyles were baptized with the name of 'griffins', so evidencing its classical roots. However, the iconography of the gargoyles was not limited to the mere representation of griffins, but also embodied other fabulous creatures which could take the form of animals, humans or a mixture of both; but always represented more or less in a monstrous manner. The gramophone is a word which comes from the Greek and means: Gramma "writing" and Fono "sound". The gramophone was the first system of recording and reproduction of sound which used a flat disc. The author Ovidio, in his work Fasti, tries to capture the Roman calendar, speaking about how the god Janus explains the customs of the day during the 1st of January. The month of January (Ianuarius) was dedicated to the god Janus, who looks back and forth, at the end of the year and at the beginning of the next. Janus, known as the god of all beginnings. Sculpture of the goddess Justice. 73cm Here we present a sculpture of the goddess Justice which measures 73 cm for a discounted price. Since the fifteenth century the lady of justice is often depicted blindfolded. The blindfold represents objectivity, what justice is or should be, represent, they should be objective impose, without fear or favor, regardless of identity, money, power or weakness, the blind and impartial justice. The first Roman coins represent uncovered Justitia with the sword in one hand and in the other the balance, but with the eyes uncovered. Justitia was only commonly represented as "blind" in the late XV century.
