Tanagra. Kouros (young man). 50cm This piece, that we present today, is a Tanagra of the Kouros (young man). The Greek terracotta called "Tanagra" are polychromed ceramic figures of smaller size, which were very valuable objects in the Greek world of the late fourth century BC to the end of the third century before Christ. The Tanagra were also used as grave goods in the temple and as decorating in the houses. Kouros (young man) is the modern name for the statue of a young man in Greek art of the Archaic period. The scheme of the generally unclothed Kouros was in the whole Greek culture space spread and and known before the 8th century BC. The 40 cm high figure of "Kouros of Palekastro", which was found in 1987 in Crete, proves that the scheme was used before the Mycenaeans conquest of the island and thus before the Dark Ages.

Laocoön and His Sons. 55x28x68cm Today we will exceptionally present a figure of the prominence, it is The statue of Laocoön and His Sons. This figure is the representation of the death struggle of Laocoon. It is a work of the fine art. The sculpture of the sculptors Hagesandros, Polydorus and Athanadoros from Rhodes is only preserved in a marble copy, which dates from the second half of the 1st century BC or the beginning of the 1st century AD. The original was probably made ​​around 200 BC, as a bronze sculpture from Pergamon, which not longer exist. The death struggle is a representation from the mythology, where exist two different versions, one version says that Laocoön loved his wife in the temple of Poseidon and in wrath the god Poseidon he sended the two snakes, and another version says that in the trojan battle, when the Greeks in their alleged withdrawal leave a Wooden Horse, Laocoön was the only one who recognized the wit and he tried to puncture with a spear

Figure of God Pan in bronze 10 cm     This is a cast bronze figure , which represents the god Pan with his flute. Pan was the demi-god of shepherds and flocks, in the Greek mythology. He was venerated especially in Arcadia, though it doesn't exist in this region large sanctuaries in his honor. In the Roman mythology, this God is identified with the Faun. This figure was made ​​in the lost wax process. The lost wax process is a sculptural process of very old tradition, III century BC, which served to reproduce models of metal. The Winged Victory of Samothrace is a Greek sculpture depicting the goddess of victory Nike and is currently housed in the Louvre in Paris. It was found in the sanctuary of the Cabiri on the Greek island of Samothrace. It was probably created around 190 BC. It is believed that Rhodian sculptors created the statue.
