Today we present you a piece from our collection of medium and small classical figures, the head of Hygeia, a work that is attributed to Scopas of Paros in 360 BC, it is located in the National Museum of Athens (Greece). Together with the statue of Asclepius, it is of an inestimable value, because they are the only originals that could be saved from all the works of the author. Hygeia is the daughter of Asclepius, god of medicine and mysteries, this goddess symbolized in ancient times, the health and hygiene, it appears in the Hippocratic oath as a witness of the obligation of the doctor.
