On our website you can find a great variety of Roman lamps. The ancient Roman oil lamps were small tools made in stone or terracotta, which was used since prehistoric times to have artificial light but the ancient Romans were who exploited their mass production for a widespread. They were supplied with olive oil and had from one to a dozen of wicks. Some have handles, so they could be carried from one room to another, and could be carried by actors in the artistic representations or by participants in ritual activities.
