Today we will explain what a Lararium is, it is a small Roman altar on which a god is venerated. It is believed that in every Roman household a Lararium existed. This shrine or altar is intended for the personal household gods or his deceased. Depending on the profession, every Roman venerated a particular god. A craftsman,  for example, sacrifices daily on his altar bread, fruit and other things for the goddess Minerva; a blacksmith asks the deity Vulcan for support in his blacksmithing; and a poet prays to the god Apollo and hopes for the kiss of the Muses.
Here you can find some gods with their functions, to place it on your altar.
