Sir Frederic Leighton born in England in 1830 and died in 1896. Leighton was an English painter and sculptor at the time of the Pre-Raphaelites. His works of historical, biblical and mythological subjects are among the finest examples of Victorian art. He was president of the Royal Academy for almost two decades, during which he achieved great prestige. It is one of the finest examples of Victorian school. As a classical artist and also as a great portraitist, has created images of great finish. He created in his works the human figure with great vivacity and expression which transmit to the beholder a wide wealth of emotions.
