Bust of Ares Borghese. 46x33cm

Bust of Ares Borghese. 46x33cm

A beautiful marble statue of the Roman times is the Ares Borghese. The museum piece that is in the Louvre is a statue of 2.11 meters high and is identifiable as Ares by the helmet and the ring of ankle, which was given him by her lover Aphrodite. This statue is possibly the copy of an original bronze work of the 5th century BC that is now lost.
