The Venus of Flora. Statues for gardens

There is nothing better than a sculpture to turn your gardens and terraces into charming spaces. A reproduction of an ancient work of classical art appears among the vegetation, welcoming us to that special corner where we take refuge from the noise and routine of everyday life.

We can surround ourselves with art with handcrafted works that faithfully reproduce ancient sculptures such as the one we bring to this blog, the Venus de la Flora.

It is a high quality reproduction made with reconstituted marble (marble powder with resin). Finished with an antique patina based on natural earths. The stone texture suggests the feel of an antique original.

It is a sculpture perfectly suited for outdoor decoration such as gardens and terraces or for indoors.

This sculpture depicts a female figure holding an amphora. The Roman goddess Venus (Aphrodite in Greece) is the goddess of love. A myth tells of her birth from the foam of the sea that was generated by the fall of the genitals of Uranus, the god of Heaven, when he was castrated by his son the titan Cronus. She married the god of fire and smithing, Vulcan, and had numerous lovers, including Mars, the god of war, and the beautiful Adonis. She is usually accompanied by Cupid and a retinue made up of the three Graces, the Hours, etc. Her attributes are the dove and the venera, oyster or scallop shell.
